Health & Safety, COVID-19


We know you may have concerns about Covid-19, so we wanted to take a moment to share how we are keeping both our team and our customers safe and healthy.

In response to the growing fears of Covid-19, we want to reassure our community and share with you the enhanced measures we are currently undertaking to protect the public.

First, we are building upon what has always been a rigorous and strict set of sanitation and hygiene protocols at our USDA Facility. We continue to reinforce our existing training on effective sanitation and hand-washing procedures.

Second, we follow strict wellness policies and have reinforced with our team members the importance of staying home if they are showing any signs of illness. To support this, we provide paid sick leave to all employees, and are prepared to assist each and any team member who needs access to health care in the event of illness.

Since starting GGMC as a small family business in 1977, we have evolved, expanded and grown as a company, but our core values have remained the same – we are committed to quality products, a safe working environment and dedication to our customers thru all aspects of business.

As a reminder, the CDC and the WHO currently indicate the risk of transmission from food or surfaces is low though we will be tracking CDC updates and news reports, and as things develop, we will re-evaluate and keep you updated about any changes to our policies and procedures. Our incredible team is also here to answer any questions.

We are grateful for the trust that our customers and team members place in us, and with the unknown threat of Coronavirus to our community, there is an instinctual response to retreat with a real and certain need to protect ourselves, and our most vulnerable.

We do implore that our customers continue to support small businesses, dine with your local restaurant, as we continue to serve with the highest level of food expertise and safety to you.
